Government Maintenance Contract Customer
Profile: The
State of Tennessee renews their maintenance contract every five years to ensure
the most competitive and best performance results are achieved for state facilities.
During the previous twelve years, Stones River Electric, Inc. has been awarded
this contract multiple times. Currently, we are in the second year of a possible
five-year contract. Our contract covers approximately 5,709,098 square feet in
67 different facilities. These facilities are spread throughout Davidson, Bradley,
Hamilton, and McMinn counties.
Customer
Issues: With
more than 5.7 million square feet, the state is challenged with making sure their
facilities are electrically performing at peak levels. This includes maintaining
and repairing electrical systems, fire alarm systems, and energy management. Safety
and a comfortable work environment are always a top priority for the state. Project
Objective: Stones
River Electric has developed a proven process of responding to all types of service
requests. Our commitment to the state is to provide quality electrical service
and maintenance on a timely and economical basis. Results:
As
a result of our continued commitment, we have performed thousands of electrical
services ranging from installing new plugs to complete electrical renovations.
Some of the specific projects performed included maintenance and repairs at the
R. S. Gass building where we installed new feeders. In addition, we installed
panels in the electrical room of Tennessee’s State Bio-terrorism Lab. Another
project involved installing an intercom system in the Chattanooga Complex located
in Hamilton County. This intercom linked the Client Services Building with the
Main Building to ensure safe evacuation in case of an emergency. At the Tennessee
Towers, two transformers were removed and replaced with two new transformers.
We most recently added Infrared Technology offering to the State of Tennessee.
This technology is used for preventative maintenance to detect electrical deficiencies
before more serious problems occur, which can lead to shut down of major equipment,
floors, or entire facilities. We have completed the Polk building and are on target
to provide this service in many more facilities.
