| Stones River
Electric was founded by Jami Wilson in 1990 with a vision
to take her company in a different direction than the typical
electrical contracting company.
While most electrical contractors were concentrating
on the construction market, Stones River Electric specialized
in energy management systems, energy conservation projects,
lighting upgrades, maintenance contracts and electrical/lighting
installation and maintenance. This innovative approach proved to be a unique niche in the marketplace.
From
1990 to 1997 Stones River Electric’s revenues and number of
employees doubled each year.
This resulted in the company being awarded the Music
City Future 50 Award for five consecutive years and being
inducted into the Music City “Hall of Fame” by the Nashville
Chamber of Commerce. Since
1997 the company has continued to grow, and in 2001, Stones
River Electric was named the fifth largest electrical contractor
in Middle Tennessee.
Light
Incorporated, founded in 1963, is the dominant lighting and
sign management company in Middle Tennessee. In 1993, the owners of Stones River Electric
purchased Light Incorporated.
Light Incorporated was an excellent addition to the
specialized service of Stones River Electric, each company
complimenting the other’s offering of services.
In
1998, StonesRiver
Companies broadened their capabilities to perform projects
and services in a regional marketplace, encompassing several
states surrounding Tennessee.
Then in 2002, our organization began offering electrical
and lighting services on a national level. Our regular and national clients enjoy the
benefit of our commitment to client satisfaction.
In
2003, StonesRiver
Companies was formed to encompass both Light Incorporated
and Stones River Electric.
Our companies work together to offer “one commitment”,
that being excellence in electrical and lighting management.
